A project aiming to help alleviate poverty through specialty Arabica coffee cultivation in the Mont Loura region has been taking place since June 2021. It has already created some work for the community and will serve as a model through the agricultural cooperative it has created. Its goal is to use the future revenues to empower the community in the long term, help tackle poverty through concrete actions directly impacting the community. Also Promotes women rights and gender equality.
The founder of the project is Mr Sharif Abdel Samed, a US citizen who partly grew up in Guinea and has decided to come help remote communities in the Mali district better manage their resources and empower themselves.
